Mars

Mars,

You have woven in and out of my life a tapestry of emotions and memories. The most memorable of your forms came unannounced; heralding in a new life by sweeping me off my feet and crashing me back down.

I remember you in light green and deep brown, in strapping arms and tender hearts, in strumming fingers and melodious words, in broken promises and heartfelt apologies, in your unfettered liveliness and your hung-up emotions. I remember your comfort, your warmth, your cold… I remember the tears I fought back, the nights your left me sleeples and the dreams you left me lost in, the hope you said will keep us and the weakness that overcame you when it was gone.

But thank you Mars for showing me your colors- I hope I left you with as many oscillating feelings, none of them leaving you scarred or scared…

I know you will come back around one day, perchance to nest forever, but for now I am glad that you left, so I can regain the strength to welcome you back in.

I can relate to this on so many levels Celine. I'm assuming its about a male figure of sorts with your metaphor playing into the whole men are from mars and such. Its quite eloquent and articulate.
